Together, Christina and husband, Jason, founded the Burress Community Foundation, a nonprofit that channels resources to local organizations, first responders, and college students pursuing higher education. Signature events, including their Annual Picnic, draw the community together while raising significant funds to support these causes.
One of the foundation’s standout partnerships is with HUGS Inc., a McKinney-based nonprofit that empowers adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through meaningful employment and training. Contributions from the Burress Community Foundation help HUGS provide opportunities for employees to grow, learn, and contribute in a welcoming, inclusive environment.
For the Burress family, philanthropy is a part of their daily life. Each initiative reflects their belief that giving back creates a meaningful legacy, bringing the community together in shared purpose.
At Burress Design Group, travel is integral to the design process, providing inspiration and access to a rich diversity of objects, textiles, and art. Trips to destinations such as Round Top and other renowned markets allow the team to discover one-of-a-kind pieces that bring character, history, and depth to every project.
