Meet Burress Design Group
Founded in 2020, Burress Design Group is a premier design firm specializing in full-service interior and exterior design of commercial and residential spaces. Along with providing expertise relating to furnishings, lighting, paint, flooring, stone, tile, plumbing and hardware selections, BDG holds an additional niche in specialty art procurement and installation from artists located all over the country. Christina Burress, the founder of Burress Design Group, has intentionally curated a team of designers and vendors to ensure the interior design process is high quality, customized, and most of all fun for each client.
Creating custom, one-of-a-kind spaces for their clients while being mindful of budgets is the number one priority for BDG. Commitment to design that showcases the connection between form and function is the ethos in which BDG operates. Whether structure or accessory, the addition of each element should be in direct relation to its purpose.
“My favorite part of this process is mixing vintage pieces alongside modern furnishings,” says Christina. “My mom always had such neat antique furnishings in our home growing up that I would admire as a child. My favorite was an old player piano that sat next to a vintage Italian marble top coffee table from the late 1800s. Now that I’ve inherited these beautiful pieces, I was able to marry them into my modern style of living. It really creates a sense of depth in design and my space tells a story.”

Meet Our Team
Christina Burress
Christina Burress is the owner and principal designer of Burress Design Group. Born and raised in Texas, Christina completed her undergrad at Baylor, has an MBA from UNT and went on to study Interior Design. Christina’s work reflects her fresh, iconic eye mixed with patterns and textures to create a modern sense of luxury. Clients praise Christina for creating spaces that are both sophisticated and timeless, something she accomplishes by mixing vintage pieces with modern furnishings.
Abby Robb
Abby Robb serves as the Financial Director for Burress Design Group. She has a Bachelors in Secondary Math Education from Indiana University. Her love of numbers, data, excel, projections, probability, and finance led her to a profession in bookkeeping which allows her to enjoy her passion of numbers while also staying home to raise her three young children. Abby’s goal is to help others meet their financial goals and build their own businesses. She has worked with BDG since 2021.
Beth McGuire
Beth McGuire joined Burress Design Group in 2022, and serves as an Assistant Designer. She has a BA in Art from Texas State University and 6 years of design experience. Beth’s talents are multi-faceted, and often self-taught making her a tremendous asset to the BDG team, “I love doing home DIY: plumbing, electrical, building things…I love a challenge and getting my hands dirty.” Beth’s home is her happy place which is what she strives to create for each of her clients.
Christy Leffingwell
Christy Leffingwell is an award-winning designer that has worked in the industry for 3 years. Along with being a certified interior designer, Christy specializes in project management both in remodels and new construction due to her detail-oriented nature and knowledge of functionality. When working with clients, her favorite component to select is lighting. “Lighting sets the mood and ambiance. It can make a room feel bright and airy or warm and cozy.” This is Christy’s first year working with Burress Design Group.
Courtney Buckholder
When Courtney Burkholder returned to Texas after a 7-year stint in the Pacific Northwest, she reached out to Burress Design Group to help finish her family’s newly purchased home. Her style and personality meshed so well with Christina and the team, coming to work for BDG was a natural progression. Courtney works both behind the scenes with operations and vendor relations as well as with clients, design board creation, and installations. “Although I’ve never worked in the industry before, I’ve designed 9 personal homes. That plus my love of color, texture, and creating beautiful spaces for living set an excellent foundation for my job at Burress Design Group.”
