Burress Family Foundation
The Burress Family Foundation serves as the entity for our businesses (Burress Design Group and Burress Injury Law) to support the community in which we live, McKinney, Texas. It is our goal with BFF to provide structure, coordination, resources, and transparency to our family’s MISSION:
To support our community, youth, and first responders through grants, scholarships, and giveback initiatives.
In September of 2022, The Burress Family Picnic, our annual fundraising initiative, facilitated $60,000 in donations to 3 local non-profit beneficiaries: Hugs Café, The Love Life Foundation, and ManeGait Therapeutic Horsemanship. It was such a blessing to see many of our clients attend our picnic, uniting business and passion. In total over the years, Burress Family Foundation has donated over $328,000 to local non-profits through the Burress Family Picnic.
The Burress Family Foundation is also proud to support local high school graduates by providing The Underdog Scholarships. These scholarships are awarded to deserving undergraduate students who have demonstrated perseverance in the face of adversity and who are willing to use their experiences to make a difference in our community and to help others. In 2023, we awarded 5 Underdog Scholarships totaling $15,000, bringing our total amount awarded to $42,000 through 14 different scholarships.
